Perfect gift for Lacazette & Aubameyang: Arsenal eye exciting attacking signing – opinion

Arsenal are keeping tabs on Milan right winger Suso, according to Sport Mediaset.

The Gunners watched the former Liverpool star against Chievo Verona and are now weighing up a summer bid.

What’s the word?

Suso has been in fine form this season, laying on seven assists and scoring five goals in 25 Serie A outings for Milan.

The Spain international moved to Milan in 2016 and also spent a year on loan with Genoa before nailing down a place in the club’s first-team.

Working under Gennaro Gattuso, Suso has enjoyed one of his most productive seasons in 2018-19 but is deemed expendable by the club, per the aforementioned report.

Indeed, Milan are said to be hopeful of signing Allan Saint-Maximin from Nice this summer and are set to sacrifice the ex-Reds winger in a bid to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.

Sport Mediaset report that the deal could be worth €40million (£34m).

The Gunners, then, could be the lucky beneficiaries of the Italian club’s grand plan.

Great news for Lacazette & Aubameyang

Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be delighted by the prospect of Suso arriving in north London.

The France international currently has seven Premier League assists this season, the most of any player at the Gunners.

He has scored 12 goals too but has regularly foregone his role as a forward to help Aubameyang top the scoring charts at the club with 17.

Suso has seven assists this season too, but he has laid those on from a role that is built to serve the forwards in the team.

If Suso turns up, Lacazette and Aubameyang can focus on being a proper strike partnership, scoring goals at will, and firing Arsenal up the table.

He could well be the perfect summer signing.
